    Currently, the logistics business in our zone has got a health and fast development, and becomes a strong driving power for economic development in the zone. The logistics and warehousing industry that is base on the operation of Transnational Company now preliminarily becomes an superior industry in our zone. Till June 2005, the accumulative import and export value of logistics enterprises has reached USD 181.22 million, among it, import vale is USD 154.71 million and export value is USD 26.51 million. The accumulative domestic turnover for logistics enterprise has reached RMB 1.776 billion. The business scope is under expansion, including power equipment, chemical material, limber, oil, electrical products and so on. The leading enterprise----FG Wilson (Shantou F.T.Z.) Power Co., Ltd. was established on June 2001 by Britian FG Wilson (Engineering) Co., Ltd. Britain Wilson Company is the sole-capital subsidiary for America CAT Group that ranks the 58th place in World Top 500 Enterprise, and it is the largest manufacturer of power unit in the Europe, its product “Rolls Royce?Brand o Power Unit now occupies 40% of import share in our country. Currently, it has set up 18 offices in the big cities, such as Beijing, Shanghai, and Xian. Its accumulative domestic turnover has reached RMB 1.415 Billion. In the year 2003 and 2004, it has paid tax over RMB 100 million separately, and has been awarded the titles of “Large Tax Unit? and “Enterprise honoring the contract and keeping the promise? In the first half of 2005, it has completed its modern logistics center and processing factory with an area of 12 thousand square meters by increasing investment of RMB 30 million, which becomes the main distributing center in Asia and repair & maintenance center for the company; and its target annual turnover plans to reach over RMB 1 billion. France’s SDMA Company has carried out its logistics business since 2003, its trade and sale quantum gradually increases year by year. Now it has set up many offices and agencies in more than 10 provinces. It deals in 10 series of power units and its products are well sold in 30 provinces. It accumulative domestic turnover has reached RMB 140 Million. Germany Bayer Group and Singapore MeiJi Grop also have set up companies in our zone and handled the business initially. Besides, Japan Mitsubishi Group and French Perfume Project also show their deep concerns to make investment in the zone.
